Empowering Society Through First Aid Education & Skills

INTRODUCTION

The First Aid Council of India (FACI) is a national-level autonomous organization established under Section 8 of the Companies Act, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The organization works in the field of First Aid education, emergency preparedness, public safety awareness, and life-saving skill development across India.

FACI was established with the objective of promoting awareness and practical understanding of First Aid among students, institutions, workplaces, and communities. The organization encourages a culture of preparedness, responsibility, and humanitarian support during medical emergencies and critical situations.

In today's rapidly evolving society, timely First Aid knowledge has become an essential life skill. Emergencies such as accidents, burns, cardiac conditions, disasters, injuries, and sudden health crises often require immediate intervention before professional medical assistance arrives.

Recognizing the increasing national need for practical emergency response education across both urban and rural India, FACI continuously works toward strengthening awareness through educational initiatives, training programs, institutional collaborations, and public welfare-oriented skill development activities.
